Roanoke Tea Party

Take a look at this piece of campaign email from the head of the Virginia Democratic Party, Roanoke native Dick Cranwell.

In part it reads…

The Tea Party.  It seems like its all people are talking about these days. 

Just the week before last, Governor Bob McDonnell announced he would be speaking at their Virginia convention.  And then on Tuesday, the Washington Post says that the Tea Party is picking up steam nationwide.  Here in Virginia, the republican Tea Party is set on destroying all the progress that President Obama and our great Democrats in Congress have made.

The Roanoke Tea Party has nothing to do with either major party. We criticize Republicans and Democrats in equal measure.

Just interested in exactly what “progress’ Dick is speaking of?

Doubling the debt?

Destroying the Constitution?

Passing Health Care “reform”?

Pushing the Global Warming Ponzi scheme?

We don’t hold much faith in the GOP’s ability to change this, but we certainly have NO faith in a Democratic Party that openly espouses a socialist agenda.

The Roanoke Tea Party has one goal. To make the Commonwealth a place where the Constitution is in effect and where liberty and freedom are cherished.

We don’t want $.

We don’t want favors.

We just want the federal government to ONLY do what they are supposed to do, as articulated in the Constitution. That’s something that neither party is interested in right now. Some GOP are talking the talk now…but will they walk the walk if they get back in power? I’ll believe it when I see it.

Which is why the Tea Party is the only game in town for real change in the system.
