A quick clip with another tax/fee that Tripp Godsey’s primary opponent, Dave Nutter voted for in 2008. This bill adds very heavy civil fines for VIrginia drivers on top of the actual ticket. Any Virginia drivers that get anything from minor to major traffic violations are going to be paying a civil fee over the next 3 years that range anywhere from $250-$1,000 per year. For example a DUI will run you $750/year for 3 years, so you’ll be shelling out $2,250. How about something a little more ridiculous? he part of this clip that is especially infuriating is that Nutter does not understand the ramifications of this bill, as is obvious from the 48 second clip above. It is all a bit embarrassing and this is another reason we need fresh blood in the General Assembly.
