Funny how many of the national issues that get us worked up are happening right here in the Roanoke Valley.

This article shows what has been shown again and again; that the man made global warming threat is being pushed by companies with a direct financial stake in alternative energy sources.  The United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) has published a report that states that 80% of the worlds energy needs can be provided by alternative energy. Isn’t that great?

The only problem is that the study was lifted almost verbatim from a report by a European group that represents the interest of companies building renewable energy sources. It is painfully obvious this report is a blatant attempt to use environmental concerns to drive governmental funding to enrich these companies. While this is painfully obvious from a cursory review of the data, the EPA doesn’t have any interest in questioning the veracity of something that furthers their agenda. As the article points out:

“The (EPA) based the whole of its “endangerment finding” on the work of IPCC, as if it were scientific. It would be more honest for the EPA to say its rules are based on the desire of Greenpeace and the renewable-energy industry to raise taxes on competing sources of electricity. They shouldn’t be allowed to get away with this fraud.” But they are.

Likewise, our state and local counties are blindly following the United Nations Agenda 21 by allowing United Nation mandated ICLEI groups to create zoning regulations that will effectively force people to live in high density urban areas. There is no benefit to any of these plans except to help stop a global warming “problem” that is almost certainly a hoax propagated to help enrich those with an interest in making money off of this hoax.

Yet our local governments aren’t asking the right questions and we’ll be trying to educate our local politicians so they can not be suckers in this scam. Join us Tuesday at the Roanoke County BOS meeting as we start the process. The meeting will start at 3PM but if you can’t make it till after work, that is fine. We will have to wait till the public input session of the meeting to discuss ICLEI directly. The earlier session will discuss state mandated changes the county is working to meet that are all related to this same scam.

We will be sharing more information tomorrow with how you can help.  Stay tuned to our site and the Virginia Green Menace. And get more information on Agenda 21 here.
