Retire Charlotte Moore, The Green Menace And Much Much More.

Speeding Towards Freedom
Fast and furious. And not the silly action movie franchise, but the action with the Roanoke Tea Party. Here is a quick list of what is going on. First political wranglings.
1. Tripp Godsey is making the rounds this week meeting with Republican’s to gain support for his run against John Edwards. So far so good. His site has more information now including how to donate. We will be putting together a process for the members to get information on Tripp and his positions. I will be emailing that to members today.
2. Charlotte Moore is on the Roanoke Board of Supervisors. She is also the local ringleader for sustainable development, Agenda 21 and all of the Green Menace issues we have been educating folks on for the past year. She is up for re-election. It is time for her to retire as well as John Edwards. I am privy to many facts about Ms. Moore that we will be revealing soon. Between her involvement in ICLEI and some of her heavy handed tactics, I think Cave Springs residents will agree it is time for her to find a new part time job.
There will be 2 Republicans trying to get the GOP nomination to oppose her. George Assaid and Stan Seymour. George is an architect and managed to

Retire Charlotte Moore
make his intentions clear in this article where he proudly proclaims, “I’m not a tea partyer.” I guess back pedaling from that statement will be tough.
Stan Seymour is a successful businessman who owns the Bojangles franchises in the Roanoke Valley. I have met with him and he is very impressive. While none of these candidates are really well versed on ICLEI, it seems clear that Stan would be inclined to vote to remove ICLEI from Roanoke County. From my interactions with him, he seems to be a true conservative who understands the proper role of government. We will be holding a series of events over the next few weeks to highlight what we call the Green Menace as we launch our new website. Our first immediate local goal:
Have Roanoke County completely divest itself from the ICLEI agenda.
Hopefully one of the prospective GOP candidates will help protect us from the intrusive reach of this liberty destroying agenda masked in seemingly good intentions and platitudes. Stan seems to be a more likely candidate for that, as well as for truly following the principles that the GOP espouses. We will have times and dates of these events soon. There will be a mass GOP meeting on July 16 so if you live in the Cave Springs District, you may want to block off your calendars. More on this race coming soon.
Some calendar items.
1. June 17 is our next Prayer Group Meeting. Check the Calendar on the sidebar for more information. For the Christians in our group, this is a great opportunity to lift up our concerns. Lord knows we will need his providence to save this country.
2. July 2 is our Tea Party Picnic. We will be providing the hot dogs and hamburgers, cooked by the grill master/tea party president. Bring a beverage and a dish to share. We will have music by our talented band of professional musicians and it is likely some candidates and politicians will come and hobnob with the folks. Tripp Godsey will be there and probably more. More information on the calendar sidebar.
3 July 9th is the Charles Kraut Seminar. As author of the The Patriots Guide to Taking Back America, Charles makes a persuasive argument for
actionable items we should be doing in our local areas. His seminar, sponsored by the Roanoke Tea Party will be free from 10AM – 3PM on Saturday July 9th. Charles is a fantastic speaker and if you are ready to stop complaining and get into the fight to save America, this is the seminar you should attend. Seating is limited to 50 and we still have some seats left….so don’t be left out. Contact me at chip.tarbutton@gmail.com to reserve a seat.
Other notes of interest.
I am having conversations with various liberty minded groups about another state wide organization. It is all preliminary, and I won’t commit us to any type of organization without a membership vote. But it is promising as we have agreed up front on some principles that will hopefully help us avoid the debacle that is the current state wide group. The current group is losing member groups faster than a ’78 Ford Granada loses oil. More to come on that soon.
We are negotiating with the 10th Amendment Center (The group started by Thomas Woods, Author of Nullification) about doing a version of their Nullify Now tour right here in Roanoke. It is all preliminary and the money commitment is significant. I am working with some other groups on getting this together and helping with the financial burden. But this kind of event can really put nullification and the Freedom For Virginians Act on the map prior to next years General Assembly session. So more to come on that too…
Like I said Fast and Furious. Time to power slide into another meeting.
God Bless

Where can I read other’s comments?
Wow, did you see what Stan Seymour is doing about free market competition in Salem? Doesn’t seem very Tea Party-like to me.
I heard about it today but haven’t been able to do any research. It certainly doesn’t sound good on the surface. I should have specificed they were limited interactions with Stan in this July article. This should not be construed as an endorsement.
But I need more information on the Chik Fillet deal in Sale.
I urge you to come to the Forum we are hoilding on Thursday and here him (and George Assaid and Charlotte Moore) answer questions about a variety of issues.
