Dave Nutter may have had a change of heart since 2007 on gas increases. But in HB3202, he voted to increase gas taxes in that bill. It raises some hard questions…

Didn’t raising the gas tax hurt families in 2007?

If so and he knows it hurts families, did he choose to violate what he knew was right by voting for HB3202?

John Edwards believes in higher gas taxes so when he voted for HB3202, at least he was voting along with his twisted and nonsensical principles. What is Dave’s excuse?

Perhaps he just did he not read the bill? It is apparent from this short video he didn’t understand the civil penalties that were buried in the same bill. He voted to repeal them in the next session. The same bill also includes the Urban Development Areas, that are part of the state’s push on Agenda 21. He has since voted for changing the mandates, but are till in effect and caused a showdown for the local Boards of Supervisors around the area.

It is obvious Nutter doesn’t always read or understand the information he votes on in Richmond.

So is he violating his principles or is he not reading the bills before he voting for things he doesn’t fully understand? Either way, I would say that is NOT what you want from your State Senator. Dave asks a question in the next picture…and the answer is….

YES DAVE IT IS AND IT IS OBVIOUSLY NOT YOU!

Since he also voted for the 2004 Warner Tax Increases, the largest tax increase in Virginia’s history.

In fairness to Dave, he has voted some of the time to keep taxes low. But when the going got tough and bills were contentious, Dave folded up like a cheap suit.

In these desperate times, we can’t afford a sometimes fiscal conservative. We need a State Senator who stands on the correct principles all of the time rather than some of the time. That is another reason you need to vote for Tripp Godsey on 8-23. Say No to the Status Quo.
