Burning Windmills...A hint about our Marketing Campaign
We are having our regular meeting on Thursday, September 1 at the Holiday Inn Tanglewood. The meeting starts at 6:30 PM.
On top of a recap of recent events and information on our upcoming board elections, here are some snippets of what you will hear.
Windmills. We need to get the word out to the public on the windmill issue. We have a marketing campaign we need your help with. So please plan on attending and learnign what you can do to help. If you can’t make it, here are some documents and information you can share with your friends and neighbors. The most effective way to get the word out is one on one. Bit we have some other ways too…More at the meeting.
We have detailed all of the MANY issues with the proposed windmill ordinance and industrial wind turbines in general. We will be distributing out a 1 page flier, which you can print and hand out to your friends on the SPECIFICS of the problems with the ordinance. 1 Page Wind Power Flier
If you want to know more about the actual ordinance, please look at the following link that has the actual 8 page ordinance along with annotations on why the language needs to be revised. Wind Ordinance 0711 Eldon’s markup (1)

Abandoned Windmills in the Mojave Desert. Look nice along the Blue Ridge Parkway?
Long story short, the ordinance allows windmills to be built too close to their neighbors, are allowed to be to noisy and do not have adequate bond protections built in to protect the county in the likely event these inefficient eyesores are abandoned.
As for the straw man argument about global warming. Show your friends this 8 page document that will start you on the road to knowing that man made global warming is a hoax. The truth is out there. Global Warming White Paper. All of these links are printable Adobe files you can save and share with your friends.
Urge your Board of Supervisors members to vote no on the ordinance on September 13.
Here is their contact information.
As for Nullification, Chip will do a presentation on the history of Nullification and why the Nullify Now Tour is a great way to move the debate forward on the FFVA.
Donald Koop will do a Fair Tax presentation. That should be interesting. While anything would be better than our current tax code, I would prefer to radically cut the amount of money that needs to go to the Federal government before we implement a new scheme to send $2.2 Trillion of tax money a year to the Federal government for them to waste on wind power subsidies and all of the too numerous to mention unconstitutional and ineffective Federal programs. Should be a lively conversation.
See you there….we will talk about this and a lot more so don’t miss it.

EXCELLENT POST FROM THE RIGHT SOURCE .
