Roanoke Tea Party

As you may know, I’ve been off working on the E.W. Jackson for Senate Campaign. So I haven’t had a chance to post lately. But Greg Honeycutt has done a nice job of filling in with some very good articles.

I just wanted to throw up a quick post and vent…

This week I’ve had friends I don’t normally talk politics with complain about…

• The Contraception Issue
• ObamaCare (One friend actually read the law and realized for the first time what a train wreck it was)
• Education (Question: Who is better on Education Democrats or Republicans? Answer: Neither unless someone disbands the Department of Education)
• Taking kids lunch and making them eat chicken nuggets.
• The fact that Social Security and Medicare are about $100 TRILLION in the red and we keep stealing money from payroll taxes to fund a gimmick of a tax cut.

I was asked what they can do? Write their Congressman perhaps?

Goodlatte? Not much help there as he will only offer token resistance to issues like this.

• Will he work to defund Obamacare?  No
• Will he defund the Department of Education? No
• Will he vote for budgets that continue to increase the deficits? Yes. He continues to whine but always votes for the bad budget bills so that the government doesn’t shut down.

Call your Senator? Well at least Goodlatte will act like he cares. Webb and Warner will tell you that all of this stuff is really good for you. I mean they vote in support of all of this stuff and they support the Obama Agenda to destroy the nation.

Can we elect new leaders? Well that’s an option as getting fresh leaders in Washington would help considerably. That is why I’m working on the E.W. Jackson campaign. But all of these efforts are very difficult as the establishment wants the same pliable cowardly GOP “leaders” in power. George Allen, has an atrocious record, failed miserably in one term in the US Senate and he has $4.5 million in donations to try and re-package himself as a true fiscal conservative.

Repackaging is helpful as he voted to add $3 Trillion to our current deficit. He spearheaded the effort to add $20 trillion in unfunded liabilities for actively supporting the Medicare Prescription B program. In less than 10 years, this program is in as bad a shape as the Social Security trust fund.

Again that is why I am working on E.W. Jackson’s campaign.

But that isn’t the only option. The states have the ability to stop much of this insanity by nullification of unconstitutional actions. In 2009 Ken Cuccinelli helped spearhead a nullification action that stopped the Real ID Law dead in its track. It can be done. Now even Ken is backing off of this successful formula in fear for his political aspirations.

But it takes courage and it takes a realization of the current reality.

Progressives, lead by Obama, are at war with our basic principles. They will do anything, say anything, break any law, smear any innocent figure to achieve their goal of fundamental transformation.

They won’t stop.

They won’t flinch at a short term set back.

They will stoop to any level to win

We see the Constitution as the basis of our nation. They see the Constitution as an impediment to progress.

If we are going to win this war, we are going to have to do more than whine about it on Facebook, share snarky emails and rage at the evening news. And most people are not looking at this as a war. They aren’t fully engaged. They aren’t really involved. They are on the sidelines.

I can assure you that the supporters of all of the things you abhor are not sitting around and compaining. They are out everyday working to defeat us.

If we are going to win we need leaders at all levels to be accountable. To replace bad leaders with new leaders. And to fight in every way we can. We need these leaders at all levels to grow a pair and start FIGHTING!

Defund Obamacare, filibuster, shut down the government, impeach the President and follow through on ethics charges against corrupt leaders of both parties. Do whatever it takes NOW to fight this. At the state level. Nullify NOW! You can do it. Stand up and fight. We will support you every step of the way! At local levels, fight Agenda 21, keep spending low and keep control of your educational programs.

Do you still think there is a chance to compromise with socialists like Obama, Reid and Pelosi? Common ground. Bunk! It’s time to match the socialist, tyranny loving Democrats at every step, in every way and with the same confidence in our CORRECT beliefs…that they have in their INCORRECT beliefs.

It’s time to demand more of our leaders. And ourselves. Great leaders in times of crisis have one thing in common. They NEVER compromise their principles. Churchill wasn’t trying to broker a peace deal with Hitler. (other wanted to in 1940). Ghandi didn’t settle for accomodations with the British Empire. George Washignton didn’t try to work out a deal with the British.

If we don’t start fighting everyday, we are going to lose this war for the soul of America. The Roanoke Tea Party have efforts going on at all levels and we need help to make it happen.
