President Obama is telling his minions that his plans are working and we need to keep moving “forward.” An honest assessment of almost any issue in our nation leads you to the same conclusion…we are only moving forward towards the dustbin of history.

Here are two items that caught my eye.

Friday’s latest budget estimates show the United States will have a $25 trillion deficit by 2022.

G.M. is struggling and, contrary to popular opinion, the company still owes billions of dollars to the government.

So the bailouts have caused the debt to spiral even more wildly out of control over the past 3 years.

And the signature “achievement” of that bailout was the G.M. deal. G.M. stock is trading 40% below their recent IPO price of $33 a share. They lost 11% of the market share in the U.S. market over the past 6 months and their leadership is in turmoil.

And as for the close to $50 billion in bailout money provided by the Federal Government?

As of February 2012 General Motors has only paid  back Uncle Sam $26-billion of the $49.5-billion in bailout money they received.  They also accumulated $13-billion in stock losses and reported record profits of  $7.6-billion in 2011. This means that for every $1 of profit, the U.S.  government paid $4. Taxpayers also spent another $27-billion to buy General  Motors stock and currently own about 30% of the company in stock. 47,500  blue-collar workers will be receiving profit sharing checks of up to  $7,000.

This is qualifies as success? Which leads to several uncomfortable conclusions.

  • The main stream media should be pointing this out loudly, but they are invested in Obama’s success so they remain his personal lapdogs
  • Obama is either lying about his success. Or his plan is to destroy capitalism in the United States. If that is the case…he is off to a rip roaring start.
  • Many of his supporters don’t care about any of these facts. They will support Obama regardless of how many times they are lied to…

The facts above should be enough to give any voter pause about voting for supporters of these policies. The fact that they don’t move a large number of voters is the biggest problem in America today.

We have to find ways to move people away from the destructive ideals that are leading us to national disaster. And that is ultimately the hardest job of all…
