3,000 people in Richmond in Support of the Health Care Freedom Act. It Will Take This Kind of Effort to Get them to Actually ENFORCE IT.

People want to know what they can do to help the cause of freedom in these dark days. So we will be providing opportunities for giving and volunteering over the coming weeks were people can actively help us bring our nation back from the brink. Here is the first one…

“No resident of this Commonwealth, regardless of whether he has or is eligible for health insurance coverage under any policy or program provided by or through his employer, or a plan sponsored by the Commonwealth or the federal government, shall be required to obtain or maintain a policy of individual insurance coverage. No provision of this title shall render a resident of this Commonwealth liable for any penalty, assessment, fee, or fine as a result of his failure to procure or obtain health insurance coverage.”

Sound good? Sound kind of radical, but in a good way? Well this is already the Code of Virginia after the passage of the Health Care Freedom Act of 2010. The obvious purpose of this law was to give Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli legal standing to fight this battle in federal court.

Unfortunately Judge Roberts and the rest of the liberal cabal that makes up the Supreme Court ruled to give the federal government unlimited powers in direct violation of the letter and spirit of the Constitution.

So now what? Do you just lay down and meekly ignore the law the Virginia General Assembly passed? A truly bi-partisan law where a Senate controlled by Democrats (in 2010) and a Republican controlled House of Delegates passed the Health Care Freedom Act in 2010.

Are we going to sit back and allow the Federal government to violate the sovereignty of the Commonwealth of Virginia in direct and obvious violation of the Constitution?  We say NO.

Submission is NOT an Option.

Tell your state officials to stand up for our properly passed legislation and tell the Federal government that within the borders of the Commonwealth of Virginia, the mandate is null and void.

Only if there is a groundswell of support for this will your legislators have the courage to do this.

The groundswell will only happen if people understand that the states have the constitutional authority and DUTY to do this.

Make plans to go to January for Lobby Day. Lobby Day is tentatively scheduled for Monday January 21st. In January of 2010, the Healthcare Freedom Act passed because 3000 patriots went and the pressure was so intense 5 Democrats in the Senate supported the bill’s passage.

It will likely take that same kind of pressure to get Delegates and Senators who don’t like controversy, to do the controversial and right thing of upholding the duly elected LAW OF VIRGINIA THAT NULLIFIES THE OBAMACARE MANDATE. Providence has handed us an opportunity to strike a blow for freedom simply by holding our elected officials to do what they are elected to do. UPHOLD THE LAWS OF VIRGINIA.
