With the debate on tonight…I thought this lie ought to be front an center…
“I’m willing to work with anyone to keep improving the current system but I refuse to do anything that undermines the basic idea of Medicare as a guarantee for seniors who get sick.” Barrack Obama
He says the same basic thing on Social Security and Medicaid.
The big lie is to keep promising voters the same programs that everyone knows are going bankrupt. Medicare’s hospital insurance fund is projected to run out of money by 2024. The trust funds that support Social Security will run dry by 2033.
This is not a question that is in dispute. It is an absolute mathematical certainty that, at some point in the not to distant future, the entitlement programs that millions of Americans depend upon WILL BE INSOLVENT. And as I pointed out a few days back….every penny of the 2012 budget that isn’t for entitlement programs or debt service was borrowed.
So what would you say of a political party and a candidate, who’s central theme is to NOT change anything on programs that we know are doomed to fail? And then they base their campaign advertising on their role as defenders of these programs.
What would you call a political party and a candidate that will ensure that millions of younger people will never see a penny of the money they have paid in since they have been working. Social Security is an open joke amongst people under 4o, as most are aware that they will never see benefits of the program.
What will Obama and his “friends” say when entitlement checks are suddenly not going out in a few years. Or the checks have to be drastically cut because of their stubborn refusal to even acknowledge the simple fact the system is broken.
How will they deal with the millions of people who believed Democrat party lies…that we could just keep spending the money as we do today and that nothing will EVER change.
You should call this what it is. A lie. A big destructive evil lie that will ultimately destroy this nation and leave millions of people in a desperate situation. A lie that helps destroy any credibility the federal government has left.
So when you see Obama proudly defending this lie tonight, pray that Romney will do something that Republicans are mostly loathe to do…
Call him out and boldly speak the truth.
