Our monthly meeting is coming up this Thursday. See more on the budget crisis and the media bias that helps keep the situation described in the video above under wraps. We will also have information on what can be done to fight back and how you can  protect your family.

The meeting starts at 6:30 PM at the Holiday Inn Tanglewood.

Phil Spence from the 2nd Tuesday Constitution group shared the video posted above with me. It really does a nice job, in 5 minutes, of explaining the problems with the budget. A problem that no one in Washington is really doing anything about. I wonder how truthful either candidate will be in tomorrow’s debate?

As I wrapped up my series on Gene Marrano and how they misspent a small portion of the federal stimulus cash, I mentioned that the entire budget would be taken up by entitlement programs (Medicare/Medicaid and Social Security) and debt service by 2025. Well that calculation includes what we borrow today. In 2025, even the money we borrow would have to go to mandated spending.

But what about today.

In 2012, the U.S. government will spend $3.8 trillion and collect $2.5 trillion in tax revenue. The difference, $1.3 trillion, is what the United States borrowed this year. As the video clearly and simply shows (by showing the actual Federal Budget) the money we collect in taxes only covers the entitlement programs and debt.

Every penny of the $1.3 trillion the federal government borrows goes to running EVERYTHING ELSE THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT DOES TODAY. That is defense, post office, and every federal program; even the little grant programs used by green groups like RCCLEAR.

Every penny is borrowed. Today.

This is why the Balanced Budget Amendments is a pipe dream. Paul Ryan is the only candidate who has ever even addressed the entitlement programs in a substantive way. And he has been demonized for it…and his program, while a start, is not going to fix the problem fast enough.

If you want to be lied, to stay at home and watch T.V. Thursday. If you can handle the truth….we’ll see you at the our meeting at Tanglewood Mall at 6:30 Thursday.
