We are American patriots, first.Political party affliation is only useful when one has to try and justify their opinions/decisions without taking any responsibiility for them. And unfortunately, the only people not taking any personal responsbility work in Washington, DC.

Examples of what I emailed to both Senators this AM:

Senator ******,

As a concerned citizen of the Commonwealth of Virginia, I feel deeply pressed to voice my concerns over the much debated government health initiative now facing our elected officials.

It is in my opinion that this bill, if passed, would further deepen the economic depression that the United States of America is now facing. I encourage you to vote NO on this bill.

This bill will force many small business owners, of which I am one, to either downsize their existing work force. Or in many cases, cause them to shut the doors on their business all together. It will also force over 130 MILLION Americans to lose their existing insurance, and enslave them in the new government run health care program. Which according to many experts will cost the American taxpayers over 1.5 TRILLION DOLLARS, while not fixing the existing problems with health care in America.

Senator Warner, you have been newly elected to your seat in the Senate. This is your first term as Senator for the Commonwealth of Virginia. This could also be your last term. The American people are tired of our elected officials forgetting that they have been put in office to serve the interests of the people of the United States. Not the other way around. I am sure that you have heard the cry of your constituents when it comes to the outrageous spending that has occurred in just the past 9 months. And it is time for you to stand for the people. Not for special interests. Not for political party affiliation. Not for power. Not for money. It is time for you to stand for what is right. And to stand for the principles that this great country was founded on. Life, liberty, and the opportunity to reap the fruits of their hard work and determination.

Senator Warner, once again, I urge you to vote NO on this health care initiative. And prove to the people of Virginia and the United States, that there is in fact, common sense, honesty, and integrity in some of the elected officials in Washington.

Thank you for your time.

I'm glad I found your website yesterday! I came to the tea party and loved it! Took my grown daughter and had her eyes opened! I had never heard of Ken Cuccinelli before the party, HE'S GOT MY VOTE! What an impressive young man! I also received a couple DVD's that I watched, boy are we in trouble if we don't join forces and make our government listen or get out!! I also watched David Barton on Charles Stanley today. If you missed it try his website in a day or two, he also explains how the left has lied to us and took over the schools and repeated lies so much till we think they're truths!! Was extremely informing!! God Bless You All!

To Glad Imnota Noker:
*sigh* We never said that we were for "W"'s bailouts either. But to be honest, when they talked about it I thought...if they felt like it might help...okay, let's try it-I think it's dumb but if you want to try it...I mean, What do I know, right?! I'm not an econ major. Maybe they know something I don't (hopefully).
But once you see that it doesn't work...then let's not keep repeating the same mistake. Here's a newsflash to D.C. : Giving bad policy more time to work WON'T MAKE IT WORK! So let's move on! We see that rewarding failure and poor business decisions wasn't the wisest move. So WHY do they keep doing it?
FYI...44 Democrats in the Houe voted "no" for cap and trade and 8 Republicans voted "yes". I stand with those that voted "no" regardless of party! And I'm mad as heck at the folks that voted "yes"-regardless of party! It's about the ISSUES/SPENDING and not the PARTIES!
I'm a vet and I'd bet that we wouldn't see eye to eye on the war either...(that would be a whole other topic)..but at least we know what this money is going towards...
The bail out money can't even be accounted for..hmmmmmm.

Hopefully you understand that we are FOR THE AMERICAN PEOPLE!
I am worried about my country and I'm looking to see who else is noticing our tailspin.
We sent phone call and emails to ALL elected officials all the way up to federal levels as well as the political parties in the valley. Those on the list were ones that responded. Am I to be responsible for those who don't want to step up and answer our challenge of getting us outta this mess?
Nope...accountability is on THEIR shoulders for their OWN decisions. Unlike the results of their irresponsible legislation with their inconceivable debt which now comes to rest on MY shoulders.
I don't like it and I DO HAVE THE RIGHT TO SPEAK UP AND VOICE MY FRUSTRATION AND OPINION! They WILL hear what I have to say, because it's MY money they're using!
It's time they understand that we are watching. We're not going to stand idly by anymore!
I'm looking for my leadership to think of/stand up for their constituents instead of their party!
Because it is about "We the People"! Not, "we the party"

Yes, indeed the elephant does represent the Republican party. I'm so glad you observed. It is an excellent question why non of the speakers are Democrats. Why don't you call our two Democrat state senators and ask them why they elected not to speak. Because they most certainly were invited. If you were invited to a NRA sponsored shooting match, would you come? Probably not because guns probably scare you. If you were invited to a prayer meeting, would you come? Probably not because I'm willing to bet God scares you.
