Two More Candidates for Congress to Speak at Roanoke Tea Party Meeting

Kathryn Lewis and Ed Justo will speak at the Thursday, March 1st  Roanoke Tea Party Meeting at the Ramada Inn on Franklin Road. The meeting is open to the public.

Justo is an attorney in Harrisonburg, specializing in administrative federal law. He’s originally from Puerto Rico, but has lived in Virginia for the past 15 years.

At 27, Lewis is the youngest candidate to enter the race so far. She owns her own business and lives in Bedford County.

We have one more possible guest speaker that will be announced if confirmed.

We are still expecting to have Delegate Ben Cline Speak at the April 5th meeting and are working to add other candidates to that meeting as well.

At the last meeting there were requests to discuss both the process of nominating a candidate by convention in the 6th district and how the process of a convention to amend or re-write the US Constitution under Article V of the US Constitution works. Time constraints will not permit us to address our guests and both questions in one meeting. We are planning to have a short presentation and Q&A on the process for the 6th District’s nominating convention and will plan a meeting in the future to discuss the Article V Convention thoroughly.

Please make plans to join us Thursday, March 1, at 6:30 PM at the Ramada Inn on Franklin Rd.
