CORRUPTION: IT’S THE NEW NORMAL

I am no longer amazed at how Roanoke City Council can so brazenly ignore the wishes of Roanoke’s residents when it wants its way and so publically act to use Roanoke’s resources to enrich their friends, political donors and business connections. Often, they rub Roanoke’s nose in their misdeeds and like obedient dogs, Roanoke’s voters come back for more at every election. It’s called corruption and it is the new normal in Roanoke City.

Maybe you don’t believe their behavior is corruption. What would you call giving away land and buildings to their real estate developer friends with only a promise to “develop it”…and a payment of $10. Nullification Efforts Part 1. The 2nd Amendment Preservation Act

We will be pushing out state legislators to carry several pieces of legislation in the upcoming General Assembly session, Unlike the Republicans in Washington, we don’t seek to make a show of our rights. We look to strike at the heart of the issue.

The first of our legislative initiatives will be the 2nd Amendment Preservation Act. You can click the link to see the model legislation 2nd-Amendment-Preservation-Act

The act would

“declares that all federal acts, laws, orders, rules, regulations – past, present or future – in violation of the 2nd Amendment to the Constitution of the United States are not authorized by the Constitution of the United States and violate its true meaning and intent as given by the Founders and Ratifiers, and are hereby declared to be invalid in this state, shall not be recognized by this state, are specifically rejected by this state, and shall be considered null and void and of no effect in this state.”

So please reach out to your state legislators and ask them to be the patron for the 2nd Amendment Preservation Act.
